Six members and two guests fished the Livingston Tournament on March 14. Heavy rainfall in the days leading up to the tournament made fishing difficult. The lake was full of debris and other floating obstacles. James Seek was the only angler able to catch fish.

Seven anglers fished Lake Austin on Saturday, February 21, with high hopes of landing a double-digit bass (or even a share-a-lunker). The weather cooperated, but the fish had a mind of their own and were difficult to find. Only three anglers were successful at landing keeper fish. First place went to W. J. Jefferson who weighed in three fish totalling 5.23 lbs. He also had big bass at 2.02 lbs. Will Jaegli took second place with one fish weighing 1.69 lbs. Third place was earned by Keith Hansen with one fish weighing 1.52 lbs.
The next Club tournament will be on Lake Livingston, March 14, 2015. Launch site will be Waterfront Lodge and Marina. Hope everyone can attend.

Our first tournament of the year was cold and nasty, we had 6 anglers brave the elements. There were 2 spots paid out, Keith Hansen took 1st place with 8.15 lbs and Aaron Schramm was 2nd with 7.62 lbs. The majority of fish were caught on Rat-L-Traps and chatterbaits. Some fish were also caught out deep on C-rigs and 6XD's. The fish catches were down likely due to the cold water temps. Aaron had big bass both days with a 3.65 and 3.97 The complete results were-

The Somerville Tournament was tuff and nasty, this describes both the weather and fishing!!
Only 1 fish was brought to the scales on this windy and rainy day. Aaron Schramm won first place and big bass with a 1.57 lb keeper bass. This fish was caught by throwing a crankbait around rocky structure. The tournament was shorten due to the weather conditions and some of the anglers enjoyed lunch at Las Fuentes.
